A primary school wouldn't be complete without children's drawings, posters, and maps on the walls. But all those loose sheets often make a classroom look cluttered, which isn't conducive to students' well-being or concentration. An Artiteq hanging system prevents clutter and repair costs. Schools still have the option of displaying crafts and teaching materials.
“The system is really very simple, we can customize everything to our wishes.”
CBS De Sleutel primary school in Rotterdam moved into its new building in January, a perfect opportunity to explore a suitable way to display pictures in the classrooms. "We requested information from several companies and were immediately enthusiastic about Artiteq," says Shanti Dewki-Chedi, deputy director of CBS De Sleutel. "The company was very helpful, inspecting all the rooms and offering advice. They understood our vision." The Rotterdam primary school ultimately opted for two different systems. A ceiling-mounted system was installed in the principal's offices, among others. This Top Rail ceiling system allows for flexible wall arrangements. "We mainly use it for hanging pictures. The advantage is that we don't have to drill, which saves a lot of hassle. The system is really simple; we can customize everything ourselves," says Dewki-Chedi. "It would be a real shame to immediately damage the walls of a brand-new building with nails and holes. This prevents that."
Calm appearance
A display system has also been installed in the classrooms, using the Info Rail presentation system. It's attached to the wall using click & connect. The clips are attached to the wall using plugs and screws. The rail then simply clicks onto the clips, ensuring it sits flush against the wall. "The classrooms are mostly displaying pictures. For example, in Year 3, word charts, and in older grades, world maps," explains the deputy director of CBS De Sleutel. "The lessons and themes change regularly, of course, and with this system, the pictures can easily be adapted accordingly." Crafts and drawings also get a place on the walls. In the past, Dewki-Chedi says, this sometimes looked cluttered. "And that doesn't suit a modern, new school building," she says. "Now we keep the walls nice and clean and prevent clutter. That's also better for the students' concentration. A messy environment is distracting, but a calm atmosphere also radiates to the children." Keeping the school looking neat is the most important thing for CBS De Sleutel. Dewki-Chedi is also happy with Artiteq's service. "The feedback from both the team and the students has been very positive. It's become so easy to hang things without the hassle of tape, pins, or nails. We're really excited."
Customised suspension systems
Artiteq has been designing, developing, and manufacturing hanging systems since 1995. The ideal solution for displaying drawings, artwork, and other documents on the wall in an organized manner. A beautiful sight and one that also helps preserve the building's walls.
