Hanging a painting on a slanted wall / roof
Hanging paintings on a slanted wall with a painting hanging system
Hanging a painting or frame on a slanted wall? It is often thought that in spaces with slanted walls, using a flexible picture hanging system is not possible.Nothing could be further from the truth! On a slanted wall, for example in a stairwell or attic, the rail (the picture hanging system) can be mounted inthe same wayas on a straight wall.
Read in thisblog 3 handy tipson how to hang paintings, frames, and other wall decorations on a slanted wall. Additionally, we sharetipson how to securely andsolidlyattach the picture hanging system to the slanted wall.
TIP 1. MOUNTING OF THE HANGING RAIL ON SLOPED WALL
The use of a picture hanging system on a sloping wall is possible. The wall is not sloping, but the ceiling is. The installation is carried out in the same way as with a flat ceiling. Make sure that the picture hanging system is securely mounted to the sloping wall according to the installation instructions. Because the rail can slide down due to the weight of the picture or frame, it is crucial that the rail is held at the side of the lowest point. This can be done by a wall, high baseboard, or for example, another rail.

By mounting the hanging system under a sloping roof, you can also decorate the sloping walls in an attic where the walls may be lower, with the most beautiful wall decorations. Or what do you think about hanging a picture in a stairwell?
TIP 2. USE A SLOPED STOPPER SET
For hanging paintings or frames on a slanted wall, the Artiteq Solid Slider hanging wires and the corresponding Slanted Stopper Set are used. A painting or frame can only be hung on a slanted wall in combination with the Solid Slider wires and the Slanted Stopper Set. The Slanted Stopper Set prevents the wire from sliding down under the weight of the hung paintings and locks the painting in the desired position on the rail.

Did you know? With the Slanted Stopper Set, you can also hang other slanted wall decorations on the wall? Think of mirrors, vases, clocks, plates, and more. But of course, you can also hang wall tapestries and posters on the slanted walls.
TIP 3. SLIDE THE HANGING WIRE AND THE STOPPER INTO THE RAIL
After installing the rail on the wall (against the sloping ceiling), the Solid Slider hanging wires and the stopper are slid in from the side of the rail. Note: the stopper is always lower than the Solid Slider hanging wire. Together, you move this in the rail to the desired position. By tightening the screw in the stopper with an Allen key, the stopper locks the wire. This prevents the wire from sliding further down in the rail, keeping the picture or frame hanging in the desired place. The desired picture can now be hung on the wire with the appropriate hanging hook.
Hanging a picture on a sloping wall is just as possible as on a flat ceiling and can be done in a solid and safe manner.
