A peek inside the home of interior stylist Susanne Nieuwenhuis

Making plans, gathering ideas, and finally starting the renovation of our home where we have now lived for almost 7 years. This time a somewhat larger project than all the previous small projects like just painting a wall or a nice DIY project for the house. A new kitchen called for a new floor, and so our dining table no longer fit well into the whole. And then one thing led to another, and we almost got a completely new interior.

Giving our wall an upgrade

We were ready and grateful as I was, I still felt that our wall could use an upgrade. For years, I have enjoyed a piece of wallpaper with many colorful flowers, a real eye-catcher upon entering. Yet, I went – without discussing it with my husband – in search of another wallpaper! I soon came across a beautiful wallpaper and of course, it didn't take long before I had these beautiful rolls at home. This time, I was able to persuade my husband quickly; he also thought the wallpaper was a nice addition. The so-called cherry on the cake, that's how it felt!

After a tough wallpapering job, I couldn't help but keep looking at the new wall... How beautiful it has become! All the frames and posters I have collected over the last few years were brought out and I selected matching posters for the wall. But now what? Drilling holes in this beautiful wallpaper?! My husband knows me by now and understands that changes happen regularly; he assured me right away that there would only be one drilling in the wall. Drilling? No! Changing often? Yes!

Handy picture hanging system

Then the system from Artiteq came along and I knew right away, this is what we need! A hanging system for paintings and wall decoration.

We quickly received the rails and accompanying materials and could get started. We chose 10 meters of Click Rail in the color RAL9010, the same color as our ceiling. The hanging system looks great when you extend the rail throughout the entire space, creating a beautiful whole. The rails are mounted on the wall and against the ceiling, and the separate 2-meter rails can be placed next to each other. Soon my new hanging system was up, super nice!

Then you have many different options regarding the hanging of paintings and other wall decoration. By sliding the transparent wires (1mm or 2mm) with different hanging hooks in the rails, you can change in no time! Ideal to not be bound to a certain composition on the wall and to be able to change whenever you want.

Regularly changing lists to a vertical garden

And a great addition to this hanging system is the Botaniq! A hanging flower pot that can be attached to the rails using 2 x 1mm perlon wires. The wires and the attachment system to the flower pot make it easy to adjust the height, and the mechanism ensures that the pot hangs nicely straight against the wall. I love greenery in the house, so you can imagine how happy I was to add these beautiful pots to my interior. After all the plants I have in the house, now also more greenery on the wall!

So if you, like me, regularly change things in your home, you will surely recognize the joy I feel with the addition of Artiteq in the house. A very nice way to style the walls differently each time. For now, we are done in the living room, but the subtle changes in the house and on the wall will of course continue!
