Colorful interior
A peek inside Jenneke's house
The 63-year-old Jenneke has been living with her cat Dribbel in a lovely new build since 2016. Her interior is her greatest passion. Sitting quietly on the couch is really not for Jenneke. She is always busy styling and loves to share photos of her colorful home on her Instagram account @prachtig88.
Eclectic and sustainable
Eclectic and sustainable
How would Jenneke describe her interior style? “I think eclectic is the right buzzword. But in my own words: I just do what I like,” she laughs. “I combine colors, prints, and furniture that appeal to me. If I’m in a thrift store or at a nice market and I see something that I like, I buy it. I love low budget anyway and I enjoy buying second-hand items or things on sale.”
Jenneke is absolutely not afraid of color and regularly paints her walls in a different shade. “That’s not the only thing I like to change,” she says. “For example, I also quite often change the paintings and posters on my walls, a few times a year. That’s why I’m so happy with the Click Rail picture hanging system.”
The system hung within 1.5 hours
The system was installed within 1.5 hours
Her neighbor installed the picture hanging system for Jenneke. “It was really very easy,” Jenneke reports. “There is a clear instruction manual included with the hanging system. I measured it myself and then it was just a matter of drilling and screwing. The rail runs the entire length of the living room, which is about 7 meters. I think we were done in about 1.5 hours.”
Jenneke is very pleased with hanging and changing wall decorations. “I must say, I found it a bit exciting at first,” Jenneke admits. “Such a thin wire and the hooks look so simple. In my head, I think ‘I hope this goes well’. But it works perfectly! It’s really surprisingly sturdy. I no longer have to drill and screw, and that is so nice. I really don’t want any more holes in the walls.”
Stylish and chic
Stylish and Chic
So far, Jenneke's experiences have actually only been positive. “The system is fantastic. Of course, you see the wire and the frame doesn't hang completely flat against the wall, which you don't have with (sticky) nails, for example. But I don't find it disturbing. It's a matter of getting used to it. And of taste, perhaps. I actually find it very stylish and chic; it gives me a bit of a gallery feel.”
Changing it is also very easy. “It's really very simple,” Jenneke says. “I just grab my little stool, and once you've taken the frame off the hook, it's very light and you can easily unscrew the hook.”
More Click Rails
Jenneke is so satisfied with the Click Rail that she wants to use the system in the rest of her house as well. “I have a piece left over, and I already know what I'm going to use it for,” she says with a laugh. “I think I'm going to attach the rail in the hallway so I can hang my cards there with the Picture Mouse. Or maybe in the toilet, that would be fun too. Now that I think about it, it would actually fit in my bedroom as well. Luckily, you can find the Click Rail at the hardware store, so I can always buy more rails, haha!”
