Assembly

  • 1. Drill

Use the clip to precisely determine where the holes should be drilled. Hold the clip against the ceiling or wall and mark the holes with a pencil.

Make sure the line is straight by using a spirit level. Then, drill the marked holes and insert the wall plugs firmly into the wall. This will provide a stable base for the clips and prevent the rail from becoming crooked or loose later.

  • 2. Attach clips

A set contains three sturdy mounting clips that support the weight of the rail. Place the clips in the pre-drilled locations and secure each clip with the screw and plug.

Make sure the clips are straight and firmly tightened against the wall for optimal grip. This prevents the rail from becoming crooked or loose later and ensures a safe, stable, and durable mounting.*

  • 3. Click tight

Once all the clips are securely fastened, you can install the rail. Hold the rail against the bottom of the clips and push up with both hands until you hear a clear click.

Sometimes this requires a little extra force, especially with longer rails, and that's completely normal. After clicking the rail into place, carefully check that it's properly seated in the clips and that there's no slack anywhere, so that everything stays securely, stably, neatly, and without any problems.

  • 4. Finishing

To neatly finish the rail, place end caps on both ends. They prevent the cords from sliding out and give the rail a neat appearance.

Are you mounting the rail at an angle, for example, in an attic or along a staircase? Then only install the end caps after the rail is fully in place, so they fit snugly against the angled mounting angle and everything looks neat.

*Shorten the rail? Want to attach the rail to a shorter wall? You can! You can shorten the rail with a saw. When installing the three clips, keep in mind that you'll need to shorten the distance between them (proportionally).

Hanging frames

  • 1. Hanging wires

Twist and turn the transparent Twister hanging wires into the rail. The picture frames will hang from these wires later. You can decide how many hanging wires you use and how far apart you place them, depending on your desired composition. Make sure the wires are securely fastened so they don't shift during hanging.

  • 2. Positioning

Once you've threaded the wire into the rail, keep it under slight tension so it doesn't pop out of the rail (this can only happen when there's no weight on it!). Slide the frame along the wire to the desired height.
Good to know : the frames can be used both horizontally and vertically.

  • 3. Fix

Secure the picture frame at the correct height with the included nipple. Use a small, flat-head screwdriver for this. If you're hanging multiple frames one below the other, thread the wire under each frame to attach the next one in the same way. Tip: Don't overtighten the screw in the nipple.

  • 4. Finishing

Neatly tuck any excess wire behind the frame. This gives the whole thing a cleaner look and prevents any visible wire from snagging. You can easily tuck the wire behind the frame's hanging springs or secure it with a small piece of tape. This creates a neat, tidy finish.

  • Do you want to paint the rail?

Is your wall painted or do you plan to paint it a different color later? Then paint the white rail (black is not paintable!) in the same color! This way, the rail will blend in beautifully with the wall and be less noticeable.

Both the rail and the end caps can be painted. For best results, paint the rail and end caps in the desired color before installation.

    See all steps below
  • Do you want to hang the rail at an angle?

You can also mount the rail at an angle. This is ideal for use in the attic or under the stairs, for example. Then install the rail as described above. However, when securing the cords to the rail, be sure to use the "Angled Stoppers." Otherwise, the cords will slide down.

Twist and turn the cord into the rail and slide it to the desired location. Slide the "Angled Stopper Bolt" next to it and tighten it with the included Allen key. This locks the wire in place and prevents it from sliding down. Once you've installed all the wires and bolts, you can attach the end caps and the frames (see step 7).

How to paint the rail in 5 steps

  1. Clean and degrease the rail with a cloth (preferably with methylated spirits)
  2. Dry the rail after cleaning
  3. Lightly sand the rail with fine sandpaper
  4. Then apply the paint with a brush, roller or spray can
  5. Depending on how well the paint covers, you determine how many coats you need to paint the rail

Note: Do not paint the bottom of the rail. This is the side with the opening for the suspension wires. If paint gets into this area, the wires won't click into place properly later.

brush or roller?

A roller quickly produces a smooth, even finish. A brush is more practical for precision work, especially around edges and small areas. Because all our paintable rails have the same surface, the choice doesn't matter. If the rail is already installed, a brush usually works best.

  • Painting the mounted rail with a brush

Is the rail already attached to the wall? Then it's easiest to paint with a brush. You can reach corners better, have more control, and prevent it from slipping against the wall or ceiling.

  • Paint the rail with a roller before mounting

If you haven't installed the rail yet, a roller is the fastest way to do it. Place a piece of cardboard under the rail and apply the paint evenly. Let everything dry completely before installing the rail according to the instructions.

Tip: Only paint the end caps at the very last moment, after the rail has been clicked into place.
