Classic decorative moldings

Suzan's interior style is light and Scandinavian. “Our current house has white floors and many light elements. I really love that: a lot of white with some robust elements here and there,” she explains. “I like to add warmth to all that white with textiles. For example, with wool or crocheted rugs, cushions, or throws.”

In the living room of her house in Den Helder, there are classic decorative moldings against the ceiling. When she had her kitchen plastered in 2016, Suzan also wanted such a beautiful cornice. “The Deco Rail is a handy picture hanging system with a beautiful crown molding in front of it,” she says. “The hanging system is therefore invisible. It is really two-in-one. In terms of design, the Deco Rail is somewhat different from the ceiling molding in the rest of our house, but it fits very well.”

Utilizing the entire wall

The Deco Rail hangs throughout the kitchen. “Above our countertop and the bar table, we have attached a rail under the decorative molding,” says Suzan. “On the other walls, only the decorative molding hangs, without the rail underneath. This way, it has become one beautiful whole.”

Attaching the moldings went quite quickly. “In one evening, my father and my friend hung everything up,” Suzan remembers. “What I like most is that you are not stuck to a specific spot on the wall when you want to hang something. You can utilize the entire wall. From left to right and from top to bottom.”

Easy to adjust the height

“For example, I hung plates on a wall in the kitchen with the handy plate hangers from Artiteq,” she adds. “You can easily hang one plate a bit lower than the other. By turning the hanging hook, you can easily adjust the height. If you want to hang something else later, you can easily readjust the place and height.”

Suzan finds it ideal that she never has to think about how to hang something in the kitchen. “In other corners of the house, I do have that challenge, but with this system, I can hang almost anything. Exactly where I want it, without having to drill.”

New house, new hanging system

The house where Suzan and her boyfriend now live, she has completely decorated to her own taste. “At the moment, we are busy renovating in our new house,” she says. “In terms of interior style, it’s still a bit of a search, as we want to combine our tastes. I think we will add some more robust and wooden elements. And green, we both find that a beautiful color.”

Does she also want a hanging system in her new house? “We are still in the phase of doing renovations, so first the big things need to be done,” she laughs. “But afterwards, yes, I think so. Not necessarily throughout the whole house, but for example, I would like it in the living room, bedroom, and kitchen. I don’t think the beautiful decorative moldings we have here match the style of our new house, so I suspect we will choose the loose Click Rail. Fortunately, we can also paint it in the color of the new walls, which is handy!”
